- This study aims to determine the role of the inspectorate in preventing fraud in the Regional Government (case study of the Regional Inspectorate of South Sumatra Province). This study uses primary and secondary data that is data that directly provides data to the data collector. Primary data consists of documents or can be oral and there are also recorded if directly from the source. The results of the study found the role of internal audit in fraud prevention at the Regional Inspectorate of South Sumatra Province has been said to play a role in the review of internal control elements that have been implemented by the company ranging from the control environment, risk assessment, information and communication, to control activities, all of which meet the provisions which has been set..
