- Discipline is a state where something is orderly, disciplinary and properly without any infractions directly or indirectly. The discipline of teachers’ duty means obedience, readiness, order and the willing of teachers to do his duty based accepted rules in organization or institution well, orderly and according to the accepted rules. This research was conducted at state junior high school 5 Kampar district of Rumbio Jaya Kampar regency, the problem discussed in this research is the principal’s attempt in disciplining teachers’ duty and the factors influence the principal’s attempt in disciplining teachers’ duty, the aim of this research is to know how the principal’s attempt in disciplining teachers’ duty at state junior high school 5 Kampar district of Rumbio Jaya Kampar regency. The attempts in disciplining the duty could be done by applying some observational steps in order to discipline the duty of teachers by motivating and some correction actions. To get the answers of this research the writer uses two techniques in collecting the data namely questionnaires which is done by giving some questions to the teacers in order to know the principal’s attempt in disciplining teachers’ duty and interview toward the principal. After completing analyzing the data of questionnaires and interview the number of percentage has been obtained it is 95,31% and this number indicates that the principal’s attempt in disciplining teachers’ duty at state junior high school 5 Kampar district of Rumbio Jaya Kampar regency categorized very good.
