- Good drinking water quality has an important role in efforts to improve public health. Drinking water in the human body is useful for maintaining the balance of metabolism and physiology of the body. One of the needs of the population for drinking water can be fulfilled through the Refill Drinking Water Depot (DAMIU) which is affordable for the middle to lower classes. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of water before and after treatment, and to analyze the bacteriological quality differences in refill drinking water before and after the treatment process at the refill drinking water depot in the working area at Public Health Center IV Health Departmen Sub-District of Southern Denpasar The quality of raw water before processing at the first inspection was 91.7% contaminated with coliform, the second was 83.3%, and the third was 66.7% including not meeting the requirements according to Minister of Health Regulation No. 492 / MENKES / PER / IV / 2010. Water quality after treatment at the first inspection was 40% contaminated with coliform, second and third 16%. There is a difference in water quality before processing and after processing, there is a decrease in the number of germs in quantity. For the first check of water quality before processing and after processing, the amount of colifomr decreased from 67 coloni / 100 ml to 5 coloni / 100 ml (92.5%). Second and third from 27 coloni / 100 ml to 2 coloni / 100 (92.5% ml).
