- The effectiveness test of Selaginella plana (Desv. ex Poir.) Hieron extract against Streptococcus pyogenes Rosenbach has been done at March – May 2016 in Microbiology Laboratory of FMIPA, University of Bengkulu. Extraction conducted by maceration with 96% technical ethanol. The effectiveness test was designed by Completely Randomized Design with 5 concentrations treatment Selaginella plana (Desv. ex Poir.) Hieron extract (55%, 62,5%, 70%, 77,5% dan 85%) with 5 replications. Data was analysed by ANOVA. The result showed that the effective concentration of Selaginella plana (Desv. ex Poir.) Hieron extract on inhibiting Streptococcus pyogenes Rosenbach growth is that of 55% (550 mg/ml) that inhibited as wide as 1,95 mm (low category).
