This paper discussed impact to Bili-Bili inhabitant due to construction of Bili-Bili Dam. The construction of the Bili-Bili Multipurpose Dam commenced in June 1992 and was completed by the end of 1997. During the construction of the dam, activities that brought significant impact to Bili-Bili inhabitant included house evacuation and land acquisition, and resettlement of 2,085 families. There are two alternatives for resettlement: the first is Self Choise Plan (SCP) and the second is Transmigration Plan (TP). The Project Affected Families (PAFs) agreed with the plans on condition that the same unit price should be applied to their properties such as land, houses and trees for both SCP and TP. The number of PAFs who selected SCP was 1,494 families, that consisted of 1,079 families moved to the future lakeside area and 415 families moved to Makassar city or the other areas. On other hand, the number of families that selected TP was 591 families. Most of PAFs who moved to lakeside could not cultivated as well due to slope of land, shallow soil depth and small size of their land. The PAFs who selected TP, some of them successfully to cultivate their agricultural land specially in Trasmigration Resettlement Unit (TRU) Baras IV, Tobadak VI, Tommo V dan VI. The PAFs who selected TRU Mora II and Malangke IV seem unsuccessful resettlement program due to lack of soil quality and land status problem
