  • This study discussed about the students’ mastery on adverb clause at English Education Department of Tarbiyah and Teachers Training. The formulation of the research problems were: 1). How is the mastery level of the fifth semester students on adverb clause at English Education Department of Tarbiyah and Teachers Training Faculty academic year 2017/2018? 2) What is the most difficult type of the fifth semester students on adverb clause at English Education Department of Tarbiyah and Teachers Training Faculty academic year 2017/2018? This research aims at: 1) Gaining and describe the mastery level of the fifth semester students on adverb clause at English Education Departments of Tarbiyah and Teachers Training Faculty. 2) Finding the most difficult type of the fifth semester students on adverb clause at English Education Department of Tarbiyah and Teachers Training Faculty. The research design in this study was descriptive quantitative method. The subjects of this study were 136 students or all of students in the fifth semester students at English Education Department of Tarbiyah and Teachers Training Faculty. The research instruments were written test and documentation. The data analysis was inductive. The research findings were 1) The level of mastery of the fifth semester students on adverb clause at English Education Department of Tarbiyah and Teachers Training Faculty academic year 2017/2018 was in fair category with the mean score 66.80. The most difficult type of the fifth semester students on adverb clause at English Education Department of Tarbiyah and Teachers Training Faculty was adverb clause of purpose type with 6.82% wrong answer.
