  • The pipe is a tool to drain energy from one place to another. St 37 pipes in their use often experience bending (Bending pipe) to adjust the installation. The effect of bending with variations in angle and filling is a change in the quality of bending results and changes in hardness that cause changes in mechanical properties in the pipe. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of changing the diameter and thickness of the pipe after bending which affects the results of the bending process and changes in hardness of the pipe St 37. The method used in this research is the variation of bending angle of 45o, 90o, 135o and the variation of filling using sand, cement and sawdust. The best bending results using sand, cement, and wood fill can be concluded that the better the filling density and the greater the angle used, the better the bending results. The highest average maximum hardness with a value of 130.13 kg / mm2 is at the 45o angle sand fill bottom curved side, then the best bending results are found at the 135 ° sand fill.
