  • Teachers are someone who duty to educate people to perfect human / human kamil especially teachers of Islamic religious education. As a source that plays a role in the world of education, the teacher must be clever in providing instruction to students and teachers should be able to how to interest in learning of students on the subjects of Islamic religious education is increasing. The purpose of this study is 1) to describe the efforts of Islamic religious education teachers (PAI) in increasing interest in learning of students on the meta lesson of PAI in SMA Bahrul Maghfiroh Malang. 2) to describe the supporting factors and inhibiting factors in increasing interest in learning of students on the subjects of PAI in Bahrul Maghfiroh High School Malang. The approach used in this research is qualitative approach with descriptive type. Source of data used in this research is qualitative data ie data that is not in the form of angka-number, but described in sentence form. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. The researcher acts as a key instrument. Data analysis technique in this research is based on inductive analysis that is based on field observation or empirical observation based on data obtained from interview, observation and documentation then compiled and drawn conclusion. From the results of this study can be concluded that the efforts of PAI teachers in improving interest in learning of students on the subjects of PAI in SMA Bahrul Maghfiroh Malang are: 1) Grow interest in learning PAI, 2) Building self-awareness, 3) Creating a positive environment , 4) Model of teacher, 5) Preparing the future by conducting soft skill program, 6) Connecting PAI lessons with daily life, 7) Growing istiqomah attitude, 8) Delivering school duty.
