- Nephrotic syndrome is a complex of symptoms including proteinuria, edema, hypoalbuminemia, and hyperlipidemia. Angiotensin II Receptor Blocker (ARB) is supportive proteinuria therapy by giving effect to decreased intraglomerular pressure and stopping TGF-β activation which can lead to glomerulosclerosis. Objective: A study to determine the use of ARB in patient with nephrotic syndrome at Dr. Saiful Anwar General Hospital of Malang from January-December 2018. Method: Retrospective in patient with nephrotic syndrome at Dr. Saiful Anwar General Hospital of Malang from January-December 2018. Results and Conclusions: The pattern of single use of ARB was 3 patients (5%), combination 2 was 8 patients (13%), combination 3 was 45 patients (71%) and combination 4 was 7 patients (11%). The highest single use was valsartan (1 x 10 mg) po in 2 patients (67%). The most common used of combination 2 were ARB + ACEI in 4 patients (50%). The most common used combination 3 were ARB + corticosteroid + ACEI in 43 patients (96%). The use of combination 4 has 1 pattern, it was ARB + corticosteroid + immunosuppressant + ACEI in 7 patients (100%). The pattern of switching therapy has 16 patterns.
