HUBUNGAN KUALITAS TIDUR TERHADAP KELUHAN MUSCULOSKELETAL DISORDERS (MSDs) PADA MAHASISWA FAKULTAS ILMU KESEHATAN UNIVERSITAS MUHAMMADIYAH MALANG

- Background: Sleep quality is a complicated situation and involved various aspects including sleep duration, sleep efficiency, sleep quality, sleep disturbance, sleep latency, daytime sleep dysfunction and the use of sleeping pills. If one of the seven domains are disturbed, it will be decreased the quality of sleep. Good or bad side of sleep quality is influenced by several factors which are health status, fatigue, environment, stress, physical exercise. The impact of the problem is the emergence of various complaints on the musculoskeletal system or known as musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) such as pain, stiffness and muscle tension. Purpose: To determine the relationship of sleep quality on the complaint of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in the Faculty of Health Sciences Students University of Muhammadiyah Malang. Research Method: The study was design on cross-sectional with a sample size of 128 people, then sleep quality was measured using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire and musculoskeletal disorders complaints were measured using a Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire. Result: Chi square test research showed that signification value was smaller than alpha 0,050 (0.001 <0,050). It means that H1 was accepted and it can be said that there was a correlation between sleep quality with musculoskeletal disorders complaints (MSDs) in students of Faculty of Health Sciences University of Muhammadiyah Malang. Conclusion: There was a relationship between sleep quality with musculoskeletal disorders complaints in students of Faculty of Health Sciences University of Muhammadiyah Malang.
