  • Parenting stress is a condition or state of parents who experience anxiety or tension especially related to the role of parents in parenting and the relationship between parents and children. The intervention method used to reduce the stress of parenting is Positive Parenting Program (Triple-P), which the material given to participants is guided by the five basic principles of Triple-P and adapted to the case experienced by the subject. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving Triple-P to reduce the stress of parenting experienced by parents with childhood. Research subjects consisted of 6 mothers, 3 were joined in experimental group and 3 others joined in control group. Subject selection using random assigment method, this research design using quasi experiment and experimental form is pre-test post-test group design. The instrument used in this research is Stress Parenting Index-Short Form (SPI-SF) Indonesian version. The results of this study indicate that the provision of Triple-P has been shown to decrease parenting stress levels in mothers with early childhood, because score of p is > 0.05 (p = 0.042).
