  • Today,internet is one of technology that could ease online shopping, so the level of online shopping is currently higher especially among students. Locus of control is a theory where the results of our behavior depends on what we do (internal control orientation) or events that occur outside of our own control (external control orientation). This research aims to test how much Locus of Control plays a role to individuals in making fashion shopping online decisions on female students. This study uses a comparative quantitative descriptive approach with the subject of research is 138 students of University of Muhammadiyah Malang with age range 17-25 years old with purposive sampling technique. In this study locus of control as independent variable and online shopping as variable dependent.control the behavior of shopping online compared to female students with high external locus of control that can not control shopping online. Data collection is conducted by spreading the scale addressed to female students. Statistical method used is quantitative technique using t-test. The results showed that the level of shopping online students who have internal locus of control is lower, compared with the level of shopping online with external locus of control that is equal to 124.97> 24.74. The t-test results show that there are significant differences in students who have the behavior of shopping online with internal locus of control and external locus of control.
