  • Mathematics is a subject that can be through contextual experience. Limitations of time and funds possessed by teachers become obstacles to learn math, so that students have difficulty in understanding the material of rotational symmetry. This study aimed to develop the symmetry board media as a solution of problems in mathematics learning and student response after the test on grade 3 elementary school students SDN Jatimulyo 1 Malang and SDN Kauman 2 Malang. This current study used Research and Development researchers and the type of research conducted is research development. The research and development procedure used ADDIE model which is analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data source were class 3 students of SDN Jatimulyo 1 Malang and SDN Kauman 2 Malang academic year 2017/2018. The data in this research was taken from the observation, the result of expert validation questionnaire and the result of questionnaire of media user response during the trial. The results showed that the use of media can help students in understanding the material of rotary symmetry. It was proven by the validation of several experts, among others, validation of media experts by 93%, material expert validation by 96%, and validation of elementary school mathematics learning experts by 99%. While the test results in SDN Jatimulyo 1 Malang showed a response of 96% and the test in SDN Kauman 2 Malang showed a response of 95%. Mathematics learning using rotary symmetry board media gained positive response from students and declared very feasible or valid as learning media. This medium needs improvement in terms of division or cutting on each two-dimentional figure.
