- The purposes of this study were to determine the leadership style of principal, teacher performance, and the influence of leadership style on the teacher performance in SMP N 1 Grati-Pasuruan regency. The population of this research were all teachers who totaled 35 people. Sampling technique using saturation sampling technique (census) or use the entire population as the sample. Mechanical testing using validity test, reability test, and normality test. While the analysis tools was rang of scale and simple linier regression with SPSS version 21. Result of this research showed that the style applied to the principalÂ’s leadership was High Initiating Structure and High Consideration, while the teachersÂ’ performance. The regression analysis result was obtainedthe equation model Y = 1.111+0.674, furthermore the coeficient of determination (R2) value was 0,551. From the simple linier regression analysis, it can be concluded that 55.1% the style of principalÂ’s leadership has positive and significant influences on the teacher performance, while 44.9% was influenced by other factors which was not discussed in this research. The advice given is for the principal to the teachers to improve relations, so that teacher performance can be increased.
