- Gambling in the level of public life in Indonesia is something that has been taken for granted for the fans of gambling. One of them happened in the village of Ampel, togel’s gambling is not new anymore for the local community. Togel gambling itself is a kind of gambling which in practice means that the raffle numbers that come out the winner has the same number with the number purchased. The purpose of this study is to find out why people love gambling togel, and to find out the meaning of togelÂ’s gambling to society. There are 3 categories of people who do togel’s gambling activity in this study. First, normal category, is people who bought togel’s number rate once. Second, middle category, is people who bought togel’s number rate nearly every day in small amount. Third, professional category, is people who bought every day in large amount. Methods used in this study is qualitative, and theory used I this study is symbolic interaction ism Herbert Blumer. The result of study concluded that the ordinary people use togel’s gambling as game which waste of money. And the normal category, interpret a togel’s gambling as entertainment, and the factor that influence people to play togel’s gambling is a curiosity, as a means to entertain themselves, and cause of the environment which the majority did togel’s gambling. People in the middle category interpret togel gambling as game only. As for factors that influence the people to play togel’s gambling because the actor has a dream related to togel digits, environmental factors that majority do togel’s gambling as a means to entertain themselves, and the digits which obtained from the things of mystical. People in professional category interpret togel’s gambling as a result of betting with luck. And the factor that influence people to play togel due to desire to change the fate with play that. And th second factor because the actor has a dream that related to togel digits.
