  • This research aims to know the understanding of student concepts using Circuit Learning model (CL) to student using direct learning model. The type of research used is quasi experiments in the form of nonequivalent control group design. Sampling is done by using purposive sampling technique. The selected sample is the VB class as the experimental class using the learning circuit learning (CL) and class VA model as the control class. Based on pretest data processing obtained the average value of the experiment class student by 53,68 while the control class of 52,04. From the result of the experiment average value of paraf grade significant = 0,05 obtained tcount= 0,579 and ttable =1,667. It can be conculted that the ability to understand the concept of learners on IPS subjects before being given treatment is no difference. After learning both classes are given posttest. Based on postets data processing obtained the average result of the concept of understanding of students in subjects IPS experimental class of 74,8 whilw thw control class of 60,92. From result of difference test of average of significant paraf value = 0,05 obtained tcount= 4,34 and ttable =1,667. Based on the result of the study can be conculedthat the ability to understand students concept the subject of IPS student using the model Circuit Learning (CL) there is a significant difference and better than the student who use direct learning model.
