  • The type of this study is experimental research, which aims at examining (1)the influence of the implementation of cooperative learning model of Number Heads Together, Think Pair Share and NHT-TPS combination model (Think Pair Number Heads Together) on mathematics learning outcomes based on initial skills and self efficacy of students, (2)the description of learning outcomes of students who were taught by using TPNHT and the ones using cooperative model with NHT and TPS, (3)the interaction of learning model with initial skills and self efficacy on learning outcomes in grade VIII at SMPN (public junior high schools) in Sinjai district. Data were taken by employing cluster random sampling technique. Data collections consisted of self efficacy data, initial skill data and learning outcomes during the learning process by applying learning model. The result of the study reveal that Mathematics learning outcomes in grade VIII.A at SMPN 6 South Sinjai is in high category with the mean 80 and standard deviation 3,94, the mean normalization gain is in high category and complete classically, students’ activity is in very good category on the application of NHT model. The Mathematics learning outcomes in grade VIII.D at SMPN 4 East Sinjai is in high category with the mean score 82,32 and tandard deviation 4,99 , the mean normalization gain is in high category and complete classically, Students’ activity is in very good category on the application of TPS model. The Mathematics learning outcomes in grade VIII.A at SMPN 1 South Sinjai is in high category with the mean 84,84 and standard deviation 5,84, the mean normalization gain is in high category and complete classically, students’ activity is in very good category on the application of TPNHT model. The results of hypothesis test at the significant level α = 0,05 with Ancova test indicate (1) there are significant difference between learning outcomes of students who were taught using cooperative model of NHT, TPS and the ones using TPNHT model in Solid Flat Fi gure learning material in grade VIII at SMPN in Sinjai District, (2)there is no interaction between learning model and self efficacy, (3) there is no interaction between learning model and initial skill, (4) there is no influence collaboratively given by learning model and self efficacy as well as Mathematics initial skills on learning outcomes.
