  • the plantiful of vegetables produce in indonesia makes vegetable markets are available everywhere. moreever every city has a special market to cell vourius vegetables. because there are many vegetable markets, the sale competition is also increashing too. the stock of vegetables can't be sold out immediately they will not be fresh anymore. if the vegetables are no longer fresh , automatically the nutrients in in those vegetables are also reducing, they are not the same as when they are taken from the harvest. this study aims to classify fresh and not fresh vegetables as well as to help society toknow the freshness of vegetables and their nutrients. the decision support system selecting the fresh vegetables is based on color classification which is expert based system by using the model of production rules. the result obtained from the system with the calculation model by using modeling weighting of each criterion include : letter a means fresh, it means all inputted criteria are considered to be fresh vegetables, with a range of value . 65%. while the letter B means the value is not fresh, it means all or any of the inputted criteria are not considered as the criteria of fresh vegetbles, with a value range , 65%
