Students' perceptions of using google classroom as media of english e-learning at the twelfth grade of ma nu mu’allimat kudus in the academic year 2020/2021

- Since the Covid-19 pandemic occurred in Indonesia, the process of teaching and learning activities must be online. Therefore, based on the researcher experience while teaching internship II in MA Mu‟allimat NU Kudus, teachers and students already use Google classroom as media. Google classroom is a free e-learning system which is providing by Google. This application aims to help teachers and students to share files related to the materials and assignments. This research aims to describe students‟ perceptions of using Google classroom as media of English e-learning. This research used a narrative qualitative research design. The participant of this research is the twelfth-grade students of MA NU Mu‟allimat Kudus. This research uses a structured interview as an instrument for 5 students. The use of Google Classroom is less effective because the students and the teachers do not use the Google classroom maximally. Then, within the pandemic issue, the students feel that Google classroom cannot replace the direct material from the teacher. While the tool's effectiveness in assignment collection is effective because the students feel that the features of this application are complete. To help students manage their assignments, students can use Google classroom as media of e-learning. To maximize the function when using Google classroom, teachers and students have to learn about the others features of Google classroom. So, it can be more effective for delivering material and collecting assignments
