- Providing access to electronic collections of scientific journals have a high cost, sometimes impossible to assume, and is becoming increasingly complex. Usually, when contracting collections, we suffer the so-called bundling, or "price packing," which involves access to a number of journals with a fixed price, in spite we are only interested in one or two journals, and the rest have a zero practical use or very low interest. Our organization have a service called "Up to day", that aims to update knowledge by means of alerting of the latest scientific information, for a group of collaborators from various specialties. We have been looking for a long time for an alternative access to the full-text articles. Since 2006 we have been using pay-per-view or pay-per-download article providers.
