  • ABSTRACT RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PARENTING STYLE AND PSYCHOSOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN AGED 3-6 YEARS AT BA ‘AISYIYAH MANGKUJAYAN PONOROGO Andhika Alfa Novianti S1 Nursing Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Muhammadiyah Ponorogo Andhikaalfa99@gmail.com The task of psychosocial development of children aged 3-6 years begins to form in terms of fostering a sense of initiative versus guilt. The problem of child development is something that needs serious attention, especially related to psychosocial development. One of the factors that influence the psychosocial development of children is the family, where the practice of parenting by the family has an important role in the formation of psychosocial development in children. This study aims to analyze the relationship between parenting patterns and the psychosocial development of children aged 3-6 years at BA 'Aisyiyah Mangkujayan Ponorogo. This study uses a quantitative correlation research design with a cross sectional approach. The number of samples in this study was 50 respondents who were taken by simple random sampling technique. Collecting data using a parenting style questionnaire and a Mental Emotional Problem Questionnaire (KMME). Data were analyzed using Chi-Square test with P value < 0.05. Based on the results of the analysis in this study, the p value (0.002) < (0.05) which means that there is a relationship between parenting patterns and the psychosocial development of children aged 3-6 years in BA 'Aisyiyah Mangkujayan Ponorogo. The results of this study are expected that parents contribute to the development of their children by playing and learning together, so that children feel cared for by their parents because through this attention it is important that the psychosocial development of children aged 3-6 years is not disturbed.
