- This thesis is to builts a decision support system for the determination of raw material inventory. DSS determination of raw material inventory is intended to prioritize the supply of raw materials which often used and usually have few types but have big invesment cost. The management required to control the amount of inventory so that stock of raw material is not too much nor too little. Inventories of a lot of raw materials will cause storage costs being too high and may cause raw material to be broken. On the contrary, if the raw material in the stock only a bit, it will be worried about demand for the product cannot be fulfilled. So as that is the need for control over the stock availability of raw materials in accordance with priorities. There are 4 process of calculations performed to obtain the amount of raw material inventory based on the priorities ie. calculates sales forecast for the next period, calculates the number of raw material needed by multiplying the number of sales of products with the composition of the product, classifying materials according to their class and after that calculate the number of purchases optimal (EOQ). The value of inventories of raw materials based on priority groups produced a recommendation for PT. Megaprima Makassar to determine the amount of raw material inventory based on group priorities. The result is a system which is built to minimize the number of purchase order inventories of raw materials as needed based on the priorities of these raw materials..
