- This research examined of environmental pollution was caused by waste Slaughterhouse in Pangkah Village, district of Pangkah, Tegal regency, Central Java. The aims of this research were 1) to analyze the influence of slaughterhouse waste disposal to the environment surrounding waters, 2) to analize people's perceptions about the effect Abattoirs slaughterhouse waste to the surrounding environment, 3) develop a waste management strategy Abattoirs not to pollute the surrounding environment. Survey method was used in this research, especially on waste water quality, water quality, and social economic condition of the local community. The sampling frame work of the water quality, while the social economic conditions of society were also using purposive sampling. The data were analyzed by descriptive qualitative. The result of this research for wastewater show that BOD, COD, and TSS are above the standart quality. Measurement of river water for BOD, COD, TSS are above the standart quality, but parameters of temperature, pH, N, and P are under of the standart. Results ID Plankton also shows that the water is polluted. People have a perception that the existence abattoirs are disturbing, dangerous, and polluting the environment.
