- ABSTRAK Acute hepatic failure is avery rare condition and has a very bad prognosis. Hepatitis viruses are the most common cause of acute hepatic failure, beside other causes such as toxins and drugs. The following is a report of a rare DHF case: a 16 year old man who died of cerebral oedema and hyperkalemia caused by acute hepatic failure and renal failure.
