- The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of chronic crude protein and phosphorus deficiencies on phosphorus metabolism of pregnant ewe. Twenty four single foetus pregnant ewes were randomly devided into four dietary treatments namely 1. High crude protein high phosphorus (HNHP), 2 High crude protein low phosphorus (HNLP), 3. Low crude protein high phosphorus (LNHP) and 4. Low crude protein low phosphorus (LNLP). The study was conducted from a nominal twenty weeks before lambing.
