- The study on Standard Clause in Pos Express Service aims to discover the conformity of the Standard Clause in Pos Express service with Consumer Protection Law and the legal protection of Article 18 Consumer Protection Law to consumers of Pos Express. This study was a judicial normative study. The data used in this study was secondary and primary data. Field study was aimed to obtain primary data to support secondary data. Data collected was analyzed qualitatively and written using descriptive method. Study result showed that (1) The use of Standard Clause in Pos Express service has normatively met Pacta Sunt Servanda principle. What should be noted is the conformity with the Principle of Freedom of Contract and with Consumer Protection Law (2) Article 18 of Law No. 8 of year 1999 on consumer protection has given legal protection to consumers of Pos Express service. The protection includes limiting the content as well as form and format of standard clause allowed, monitoring by BPSK on entrepreneurs, and civil as well as criminal sanctions if entrepreneurs violate existing regulations
