  • Desa Pakraman Padangtegal is one of desa pakraman (local/traditional community) which is located in the Sub-Regency of ubud, Regency of Gianyar, Province of Bali. As like any other villages in Bali, this desa pakraman also has three Hinduism Temples (holy place), recognized as Pura Kayangan Tiga, consists of Pura Desa, Pura Puseh and Pura Dalem. The Pura Dalem at Desa Pakraman Padangtegal is surrounded by forestry area approximately 7 hectares, and occupied by monkeys. That is why this place is also recognized as "Wenara Wana" or "Hutan Kera" (Monkey Forest). Beside holy place, Pura Dalem ini is a welknown tourist destination in Regency of Gianyar and also in the Province of Bali. This research found that Wana Wanara Tourist Object is part of the legacy (duwe) Desa Pakraman Padangtegal, Managed by a body which has full authority, without intenention from The Regenry Government of Gianyar. The Regenry Government of Gianyar only get taxlretribution 10 % from the income. This peculiar management is based on the rearon that this is a tourist object which has special character because it is actuully a Hinduism Temple which traditionally owned and managed by Desa Pakraman Padangtegal. In this regard, it can become a model of how the management of tourist object which located in a certain desa pakraman and traditionally has been already managed by desa pakraman.
